In a recent Architectural Digest feature, Jaimie Baird’s serene Massachusetts home design was showcased for its seamless integration of natural beauty and sophisticated design. At the heart of this tranquil retreat were two of our most distinctive plasters: Stucco Lamundo and Concretta. These products were chosen not just for their stunning aesthetic properties but also for their durability, versatility, and unique ability to harmonize effortlessly with the surrounding environment.

Let’s dive in and understand how, by incorporating Stucco Lamundo and Concretta, this home was transformed into a luxurious, nature-inspired haven that exudes both elegance and tranquility.

In this Massachusetts home, Jaimie Baird wanted to highlight bold, earthy tones to complement the natural beauty just outside the windows. Our Stucco Lamundo was chosen for its luxurious, polished finish and its ability to bring richness and depth to interior spaces. The color of choice was Brickyard, a deep, wine-toned Venetian plaster that perfectly reflects both the elegance of traditional European craftsmanship and the raw, organic beauty of its surroundings.

Stucco Lamundo was applied by Iris Lee Marcus in several key areas of the home, creating a striking contrast against the neutral palette of the rest of the interior. The rich tone of Lamundo contrasts with the more neutral, earthy tones throughout the rest of the home, creating a dramatic focal point that draws the eye.

The deep red tone of the Brickyard plaster adds visual warmth, while its highly polished finish enhances the light, giving the walls a soft, luminous glow.

This finish isn’t just about appearance—it’s about creating a tactile experience. The smooth, reflective surface of Stucco Lamundo invites touch while adding depth, elegant color variation, durability, and washability to the space.

What sets Stucco Lamundo apart is its durability and versatility. Stucco Lamundo is a lime-based Venetian plaster that over time naturally reverts back into its original form over natural stone, becoming harder and more durable as it ages. Its breathability traits make the finish perfect for bathrooms with high steam exposure. When sealed with our Stain Shield sealer, it becomes exceptionally washable, resisting dirt marks and making cleanup effortless.

In contrast to the bold statement made with Stucco Lamundo, the primary bathroom of this serene Massachusetts home called for something more subtle but no less sophisticated. Concretta, our lime-cement microcement plaster, was used to achieve a clean, continuous surface that seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings.

The bathroom design focused on creating a minimalist, spa-like atmosphere that evokes the serenity of nature. Concretta’s ability to adhere to shower and tiled walls, while also providing waterproof capabilities makes it the ideal choice for this space. Its smooth, seamless finish with no grout lines not only enhances the visual flow of the space but also makes the bathroom feel larger and more serene.
