Ideal for showers, countertops, backsplashes, floors, and walls, these plasters can transform any surface into a seamless plane, with subtle texture and natural depth.
Formulated for excellent adhesion, microcement can be applied over existing tile, concrete, or drywall, making it a practical choice for renovations and high-performance wet-area applications. Once cured and sealed, the plaster develops a long-lasting finish that combines sophistication with resilience, providing a timeless aesthetic that enhances both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Microcement creates surfaces that are smooth yet nuanced, offering a soft interplay of shadow and tone – evolving naturally to reveal a rich, enduring character.
Microcement is the perfect solution for creating seamless, modern surfaces with minimal disruption. Its thin, versatile layers can be applied over almost any substrate. It combines durability, water resistance, and easy maintenance with sophisticated, customizable finishes, giving walls, floors, and countertops a sleek, continuous look that evolves gracefully over time. Simply put, microcement delivers style, function, and longevity in one elegant package.
Mix 1 gallon (10 lb) of Concretta FS powder with 30–36 oz of clean water and stir thoroughly before application. Use a stainless steel rounded-edge trowel to apply thin, even layers, creating subtle texture and depth with each coat. For light colors, a Whiteout Trowel is recommended to prevent dark trowel marks.
For new drywall, wood, or glossy surfaces, first apply the appropriate primer, such as PVA for drywall or a water-based primer for wood; followed by one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer. Existing flat surfaces should be sanded and receive one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer before applying Concretta.
Two coats of Concretta are recommended, allowing at least 12 hours of drying time between coats (or 24–48 hours when applied over tile).
First Coat: Apply a thin, even layer across the surface. After 15-20 minutes, lightly sponge in a circular motion to level the coat, minimize trowel marks, and reveal the aggregates. Allow to dry fully.
Second Coat: About 20 minutes before applying, lightly mist the first coat with water to rehydrate the surface. Apply the second coat slightly thicker to embed the aggregates. Let the plaster settle for 5–10 minutes, then use the trowel at a low angle to smooth and burnish the finish.
Curing & Sealing: Allow the finished surface to dry for a minimum of 72 hours before sealing.
After drying overnight, apply clear silicone or caulking at all joints where the wall meets the floor and around fixtures to prevent water infiltration.
Meoded Concretta Microcement is the perfect choice for creating elegant, continuous surfaces that combine modern minimalism with enduring character — a finish that evolves gracefully while remaining strong and functional.
Shower Tile/Marble – First, the surface should be clean and dust free. Clean the grout lines to make sure there are no loose or flaking particles. Do not apply any primer when applying Concretta over tile or marble, Concretta is formulated to stick directly over tile & stones. Lightly sand the tile or stone before application to improve adhesion and ensure a smoother first-coat application.
First Coat – Apply Concretta FS in a thin, even layer across the entire surface. While the first coat is still wet, it is recommended to embed a fine fiberglass mesh to enhance structural stability over tile substrates. Then use a damp sponge in a circular motion before Concretta dries to create a more uniform design, expose the aggregate, and eliminate all imperfections.
Allow at least 12 hours for the first coat to dry. Allow 24-48 hours for the first coat to dry when applying over tile.
Second Coat – Smooth Finish – Apply the second coat in the same manner as the first coat, but this time apply it a bit thicker to embed the large aggregate. Spread the material evenly maintaining the same thickness across the wall. For a smooth finish, let the plaster settle for 5-10 minutes and begin to smooth the wall with the trowel applying minimal pressure and cleaning off all excess material. Then, let the plaster dry and cure for a minimum of 72 hours before applying a sealer.
Sealer & Caulking – Follow proper Meoded sealing steps, let sealers dry overnight and apply a clear silicone/caulking to all connections where the wall meets the floor and around fixtures.

Gallon – covers approximately 14-20 sq ft for 2 coat application.
Bucket – covers approximately 70-100 sq ft for 2 coat application.
Coverage depends on surface porosity and texture.
Mixing – Mix 1 gallon (10lb) of Concretta powder with approximately 30-36 oz of clean water. Mixing different batches of Concretta with different amounts of water, different mixing speeds/time or adding more water to rehydrate the Concretta will alter the color, and cause color variations in the final look. Concretta has a working time of 45 min – 1.5 hours when mixing with clean water, only mix as needed.
New Drywall Surface – Surface should be clean and dust free. Prime the substrate with the recommended water based primer as required; such as PVA primer for new drywall, multi-purpose primer for wood or glossy surfaces, and let it dry fully. Next, apply one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer allowing it at least 3-5 hours to dry.
Existing Surface – Any surface with sheen should be sanded, dust free, and then primed with a multi-purpose primer letting it dry fully. Next, apply one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer allowing it at least 3-5 hours to dry. Preparation of flat surfaces requires only the application of Meoded Quartz Primer.
Shower Applications – Apply one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer over the waterproof substrate allowing it at least 3-5 hours to dry. When applying inside showers or moist areas, be sure to waterproof the substrate before beginning application as Concretta is only the finish coat plaster.
Shower Tile/Marble – First, the surface should be clean and dust free. Clean the grout lines to make sure there are no loose or flaking particles. Do not apply any primer when applying Concretta over tile or marble, Concretta is formulated to stick directly over tile & stones.

Microcement plaster is a high-performance, ultra-thin cement-based coating that can be applied to showers, walls, floors, ceilings, and even furniture. At just 3 mm thick, it creates a seamless, modern finish without grout lines. Premium microcements like Concretta are durable, water-resistant when sealed, available in many colors and textures, and can be applied over existing tiles for cost-effective renovations.
Yes, microcement can be used in showers, but proper installation and sealing are essential. When applied over a stable, waterproof substrate and sealed correctly, it creates a seamless, water-resistant surface ideal for showers and wet rooms. Concretta uses PlasterGuard for walls and PlasterSeal Plus for floors, countertops, and benches, ensuring durability, waterproofing, and a sleek, modern finish.
Priming microcement depends on the substrate. For most surfaces, a primer is recommended to ensure adhesion and a uniform finish. However, Meoded Concretta microcement does not require a primer when applied over tile and stones, as it is formulated to adhere directly to these substrates.
Yes, Concretta microcement is formulated to adhere directly to tiles, making it ideal for shower installations. It is water-resistant, and when its designated sealers are applied, they form a protective waterproof barrier over the microcement. This makes Concretta a perfect choice for showers, wet rooms, and other moisture-prone areas while providing a seamless, modern finish.
Yes, microcement plaster should always be sealed, especially in showers and wet areas. Sealing protects the surface against water, stains, and daily wear, ensuring long-lasting durability and longevity. For Concretta, vertical surfaces use PlasterGuard, while floors and horizontal features require PlasterSeal Plus. Properly sealed, microcement stays water-resistant, easy to clean, and retains its seamless, modern finish over time.
Sealing frequency depends on the type of microcement used. Meoded’s Concretta microcement typically needs resealing every 3–5 years, depending on traffic and exposure. Regular cleaning with non-abrasive products also helps extend the life of the sealer and maintain the finish.
