Acrylic Venetian plaster, like Renaissance Marbleized, is the ideal solution when creating multi-colored, layered marble effects that are impossible to achieve with traditional lime-based Venetian plasters. Its acrylic formulation allows for wet-on-wet, multi-layer applications, making it perfect for blending colors seamlessly and building custom, one-of-a-kind marble finishes on walls, ceilings, and architectural features.
While lime-based Venetian plasters such as Stucco Lamundo™ (high-gloss) and Tintoretto™ (matte) offer natural, durable, and breathable surfaces that develop depth over time, they are best suited for single-color applications. Lime-based plasters excel at creating subtle tonal variations and a stone-like patina, but they are not designed for multi-colored, layered marble effects.
Acrylic Venetian plaster fills this niche beautifully. It combines the luxury and visual complexity of natural marble with the versatility of a premium acrylic formulation, allowing designers and homeowners to achieve custom, polished, or matte marbleized finishes that are seamless, visually dynamic, and ready to transform any space into a high-end interior.
APPLICATION TIPS:
Preparation – Surface should be smooth, clean and dust free. It is recommended to apply over a level 5 wall.
New Surface – Prime the substrate with the recommended water based primer as required; such as a PVA primer for new drywall, multi-purpose primer for wood or glossy surfaces, and let it dry fully. Next apply one coat of Meoded Quartz Primer allowing it at least 3-5 hours to dry.
Existing Surface – Any surface with sheen should be sanded, dust free, and then primed with a water based multi-purpose primer letting it dry fully. Next apply one coat of Quartz Primer allowing it at least 3-5 hours to dry. Preparation of flat surfaces require only the application of Quartz Primer.
Application – Use a stainless steel rounded edge trowel or spatula to apply the three coats of Renaissance. If applying light colors, it is recommended to use Meoded’s Whiteout Trowel to avoid formation of dark trowel marks.
First Coat – First coat of Renaissance Marbleized should be applied thinly and evenly, covering the entire wall. Allow at least 8 hours for the base coat to dry.
Second Coat – If it’s necessary to smooth, lightly sand the first coat with 180-220 grit sandpaper before proceeding. Make sure to remove all dust particles from the surface. The second coat should be applied and spread tightly in an overlapping patches pattern. On the second coat, you can incorporate multiple colors, draw marble veins, and then burnish to get a smooth, shiny finish. You can continue to add more layers and burnish any time. If extra sheen is desired, sand using 1,000-2,000 grit sandpaper.
Sealer/Wax – After allowing a minimum of 24-48 hours to dry, it is recommended to apply a protective coat of Meoded’s Hydrowax™ to provide your finish with protection from moisture and dirt while also enhancing sheen and gloss. If enhanced sheen is not desired, it is recommended to apply Meoded’s Stain Shield sealer for a natural look finish.

Renaissance Marbleized Coverage
1KG Quart – covers approximately 26-36 sq ft for 2 coat application.
5KG Gallon – covers approximately 130-180 sq ft for 2 coat application.
20KG Bucket – covers approximately 520-720 sq ft for 2 coat application.
Coverage depends on surface porosity and texture.
Check color before use. Stir thoroughly before application. Interior and exterior surfaces require different techniques. Exterior plaster must be protected from rain or freezing temperatures until fully cured. Do not apply below 55°F, in excessive heat above 85°F, or in direct sun.
Store material in a dry and dark place between 41°F (5°C)- 96°F (30°C) protected against damage from weather and direct sunlight. Use within 10 months from date of production.

Meoded Paints & Decoration™ warrants its products for the purpose in which they were intended for, when applied and used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions within 10 months of production date. Warranty period of Meoded’s products is 5 years from date of installation. Meoded Paints & Decoration™ reserves the right to inspect installations prior to resolving any claims made under this warranty. This limited warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties: either written, oral or otherwise implied. Meoded Paints & Decoration™ also excludes any liability for consequential damages. Meoded’s liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement of products found to be defective or refund to original purchaser, with proof of purchase.
