With more than 35 years of hands-on experience in Venetian plaster, decorative painting, faux finishes, and specialty wall applications, Bill has dedicated his career to mastering the art of decorative finishing and helping others do the same. As both a successful contractor and educator, he brings a unique combination of real-world field experience and practical teaching that students can immediately apply to their own projects and businesses.
Unlike instructors who have learned solely in a classroom environment, Bill built his expertise job by job, wall by wall, over decades of working in residential and commercial spaces. Throughout his career, he has completed decorative finishing projects for homeowners, designers, builders, hospitality projects, and commercial clients while developing a deep understanding of the materials, techniques, and craftsmanship that define luxury decorative finishes.

In 2015, Bill founded the Picasso School of Venetian Plastering with a simple mission: to make professional decorative finishing education accessible to students of all skill levels. Since then, he has trained contractors, painters, drywall professionals, wallpaper installers, decorative finishers, artisans, and business owners across North America.
Known for his approachable teaching style and hands-on instruction, Bill focuses on helping students build confidence quickly while developing the skills needed to successfully complete decorative finishing projects. His training programs combine technical instruction with practical field knowledge, allowing students to learn not only how to apply finishes, but also how to build a successful decorative finishing business.
At Meoded Academy, Bill personally guides students through the application of natural lime plasters, limewash, microcement, clay finishes, metallic textures, and specialty coatings.
