WHY CHOOSE LIME MORTAR FOR RESTORATION?

Older masonry and historic buildings require care – traditional cement-based plasters can be too rigid and fast-drying for delicate substrates. When applied over aged or fragile surfaces, cement can dry hard and quickly, pulling away or damaging the underlying material.

EcoMortar® F2.0 is different. Formulated with NHL 2.0, it starts soft and pliable, allowing it to wrap gently around delicate masonry. As it cures, it gradually hardens over time, strengthening the surface without disturbing the original substrate. By the time it reaches full stone-like durability, the historic fabric beneath remains intact and preserved.

With EcoMortar® F2.0, restoration professionals can repair, protect, and reinforce fragile surfaces while maintaining the authentic character and breathability of the building – a natural, careful solution for conservation and historic projects.

For areas that demand higher strength or greater exposure, EcoMortar® F3.5 delivers durable, breathable performance.Formulated with NHL 3.5, it provides enhanced durability and weather resistance while still remaining flexible and breathable, making it ideal for new pointing, repairing worn joints, or finishing exterior lime surfaces. F3.5 gradually hardens into a strong, stone-like finish that reinforces the masonry without compromising the delicate underlying substrate, allowing restoration projects to achieve both structural integrity and visual authenticity.

WHY CHOOSE LIME MORTAR FOR POINTING?

Whether you’re creating new masonry joints or repointing historic structures, EcoMortar® F3.5 delivers superior performance and compatibility. Unlike traditional cement mortars, which can dry too quickly and crack or damage surrounding masonry, EcoMortar® F3.5 is formulated with NHL 3.5 to provide the ideal balance of strength, flexibility, and breathability.

It allows joints to perform naturally, accommodating subtle movement while gradually hardening into a durable, stone-like finish. The result is strong, long-lasting pointing that protects and reinforces masonry without compromising the integrity or appearance of the surrounding surfaces.

Ideal for stone, brick, and masonry in both new construction and restoration projects, EcoMortar® F3.5 ensures joints that are visually seamless, structurally sound, and architecturally authentic.
