How to Apply Venetian Plaster
Venetian plaster is an artisanal wall finish that requires good prep, the right tools, and some patience. Whether you’re using Marmorino Tintoretto orStucco Lamundo, knowing how to apply it correctly is key for a beautiful finish. Follow these steps for a professional Venetian plaster application:
- Prepare the Surface: Make sure your walls are smooth, clean, and primed with a quartz primer for proper adhesion. Cover floors, repair cracks, and remove any dirt or grease.
- Use the Right Tools: You’ll need a stainless steel trowel or spatula (4–6 inches wide), painter’s tape, gloves, eye protection, brushes, rollers, and a paint tray. We recommend the Meoded Italian Venetian Plaster Rubber and Plastic Handle Medium Trowel or the Meoded Whiteout Medium Trowel for precise application.
